family photo shoot: summer 2010

I will never get tired of meeting new people and hearing their stories as a result of photography. What a tremendous gift to have the opportunity to capture people’s lives. A lot of people don’t know that I participate in a website called Celebrating Adoption that links adoptive families with photographers willing to offer a...

crash

On a quick trip home last month, I was able to squeeze in a photo shoot of this adorable cutie. I can’t wait to post more of the pictures but this one makes me laugh every time I see it. G just couldn’t resist discovering just what it was on that cell phone making her...

my boys

While we were at the beach a few weeks ago, our assistant (and friend) Alyssa took some pictures of our little family. I just had the chance to load them and I haven’t even looked at them all yet. As I glanced through, I loved this shot of Corey and Grayben. I love these two...

I remember the night I met with Shalonda for the first time like it was last week. We sat outside on an early fall night and got to know each other. I loved hearing about her relationship with Melvin, her plans for their wedding and the intense way she loves her family. I left our...

birthdays

Today is my birthday. Since I think I’m Facebook friends with about 99% of our blog readers, most of you probably knew that.  It has been a very good day. Flowers from my husband, the gift that I asked for, a strawberry cake, a fire in the fireplace. I am currently having some cheese dip...

story

I have probably blogged this story before but I am going to tell it again tonight. I probably will tell it every time that I post these pictures. I will never forget that night as long as I live. It was fall, a little chill in the air and we were taking a walk. We...
